Tower Realm How to Clear Without the Green Key

The developers say a no-supply solution exists. This is how you look for it.

Hardcore Clears

Hardcore in Tower Realm means you refuse the extra supplies from the Green Key. It does not mean you play without saves, and it does not mean you never shop. Charge Piggy Studio’s store text is the contract: every tower has at least one clearable solution without the Green Key. Your job is to find a route that stays legal on HP, ATK, and keys.

Do not start here. Finish a teaching run of Destined Melody first, with or without Green Key, so the handbook feels automatic. Then come back with combat and routing and the calculator open.

What hardcore actually constrains

You have fewer potions and fewer free stats. Keys usually remain the same puzzle. That means optional rooms get more expensive, not that the stair path disappears. If a hardcore attempt dies in a side room, the mistake was tourism. If it dies on a forced monster, the mistake was a missing breakpoint — a gem, a shop, or a fight order you skipped.

Illegal fights (zero damage) are unchanged. Green Key would not have made them legal unless it also handed you ATK. Hardcore does not create new illegal monsters. It removes the cushion that let you take extra legal ones.

A hardcore loop

  1. Save before each floor if the engine allows multiple slots.
  2. Map doors versus keys on paper or in a note. This is items work.
  3. Calculate every forced fight. If any is illegal, find the ATK source before you walk.
  4. Skip optional rooms that cost a key unless they create a breakpoint.
  5. Shop only for the next breakpoint, not for comfort ATK.
  6. After a wipe, reload the floor save, not the whole chapter, unless the mistake was ten floors ago.

That loop is slower than a Green Key blast through the same tower. It is also how you learn Custom Mode later. Custom Mode is for breaking numbers after you have proven you can live with the original ones.

Tower choice

Destined Melody is the fair exam. Sixty floors, classic tells, a sword and shield that exist to be breakpoints. The Saga of Tower Chapter 1 is longer story routing. System Cultivating adds a cultivation layer on eighty floors — do not make that your first hardcore. Rhythm DLC and Saga Chapter 2 are longer still; treat them as postgraduate work. The Towers Hub lists floor counts so you can pick an exam length.

If a chapter’s extra system (rhythm, cultivation, hidden floors) is still confusing, do a Green Key teaching run, take notes, then reset for hardcore. Notes are allowed. The genre is a puzzle, not a memory prohibition.

When to stop a run

Stop when you are out of keys for the stair path. Extra HP will not print a yellow key. Stop when two shops from now you will still be illegal on the forced boss. Stop when you are tired and tapping into doors. Controls mistakes look like strategy mistakes at 2 a.m.

Start again from the last honest save. Fixed maps mean the solution did not move. You did.

After the clear

Spend clear points in Custom Mode if you want a crueler or weirder enemy table. That is dessert. Then either open the next tower or read the review if you are deciding whether DLC length is for you. Link back to Getting started when you introduce a friend — they should not jump into hardcore because you just did.

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Tower Realm questions.

Is a no-Green-Key clear actually possible?

The developers say yes for every tower. This page is the method for finding that route: fewer optional rooms, stricter breakpoints, same combat formula.

Does hardcore ban shops?

No. Shops are part of the standard puzzle. Hardcore bans the extra supplies from the Green Key, not gold you earned on the map.

Which tower is the best hardcore exam?

Destined Melody. It is a full 60-floor classic homage. Save longer story and rhythm chapters until the handbook is automatic.
